Thanks Dugly,
It is poor lighting, rather than damage. I'll try to take a better picture  :)
The wood used is koa and as you say, presumably a laminate at this price point. Electrics are Fishman 301T. As far as I can tell neither koa nor the Fishman el...

Hello all!  New to the forum, but I have a Washburn Festival series Monterey that I bought off the original owner back in 1993.  At the time she told me it was a 1984 model, however, the Serial Number doesn't line up.  The S/N is: 93516, and MONTEREY i...

Welcome to the forum.  The Festival series is very confusing.  Washburn sometimes made changes and kept the model name or number the same.  They also used the same model name with different model numbers.  The name Monterey was used with both the EA30 ...

Hi!

Who can date my EA 50? Made in Japan? Korea?

Serial is 203   and 94967

Most likely 1994 production.

As for MIJ/MIK, is there a label on the inside that says "Made in....."? It would not be USA made...but, then, you knew that.

Cool paint job!

Cheers!

Thanks again for contacting me Steve.  If only you lived in the states instead of Ireland.  Good luck with that guitar.

Hi all - newbie question here.  :)

My son recently started learning the guitar and inherited an old Washburn dreadnought style acoustic from his Grandfather. I decided to learn as well, so we need a second guitar to keep the peace.

I quite like the loo...

The Jumbo is the largest bodied of the acoustic guitars, but size is not its only distinctive feature. The Jumbo body is quite deep and for a small person it can be uncomfortable to hold. Having said that, though, one of our smaller forum members plays...
